Still, still hanging in there

Today hasn't been the greatest day, but at least I'm still alive and the sun is shining (at least for a few more hours). Anyway, as I am new to blog land, I forgot how to get to this blog and now here I am! Horray for me. I just got Benji and Brinlee's pictures done and I have to admit I have some pretty dang cute kids. But aren't kids just cute anyway.

Hope

Real hope is much more than wishful musing. It stiffens, not slackens, the spiritual spine. It is composed, not giddy, eager, without being naive, and pleasantly steady without being smug. Hope is realistic anticipation taking the form of determination -- a determination not merely to survive but to "endure . . . well" to the end (D&C 121:8). Ensign, Nov. 1994, p. 35

The beginning of my visits to blogger land

Well, today isn't actually my first attempt at the whole blogging thing, but yesterday's attempts didn't seem to work quite right so I'll just count today as the starting point.

Anyway, yesterday was my birthday and it was great. I felt such warmth and love from so many different people that I was simply amazed that one person could feel so loved. In the midst of my current trials, it is a strange and wonderful thing to feel such love, warmth and peace.

Tomorrow, Benji goes in for the second part of the surgery he had in May and I have an early morning to face, so I better just leave it at that.
